ACSDC Annual General Meeting 2025
The African Canadian Social Development Council (ACSDC) successfully hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Jane Street Hub in Toronto. The event brought together leaders from our member organizations, community advocates, and partners to engage in meaningful discussions on critical issues impacting African Canadian communities, including food insecurity, housing challenges, funding gaps, and the need for stronger collaborative policy solutions.
The meeting featured inspiring speeches and moments of recognition. ACSN President Kayode Ogunnaike delivered an address after receiving a special award. At the same time, keynote speaker Mr. Yao Togobo, Community Development Officer with the City of Toronto’s Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, offered valuable insights on community empowerment and systemic change.
